The Suzuki Samurai is a compact 4WD utility vehicle, sold in the US from 1985 to 1995. Known internationally as the Suzuki Jimny SJ413 and beloved in offroad circles for its light weight, simple mechanics, solid axles front and rear, and capable trail performance, the Samurai remains a popular vehicle for offroad enthusiasts, overland builders, and trail rated restoration projects. Original Samurai tail lights used simple incandescent bulbs in a rectangular polycarbonate housing. Many Samurai owners upgrade to LED tail lights for improved visibility, faster signal response, lower power draw, and better weather sealing for offroad and trail duty.
Our Suzuki Samurai tail light is an aftermarket unit built to OEM dimensions for direct bolt on fit. The polycarbonate housing matches the original 200 by 100 by 50 mm dimensions, ensuring it integrates with the Samurai rear panel mounting points and looks correct on the vehicle. The integrated LED arrays consume minimal power while delivering high intensity output, and the IP67 weather sealing protects against water and dust intrusion during trail use.
Be aware: LED upgrades on older vehicles can interact with the original turn signal flasher relay. Original SJ413 incandescent flashers may flash too fast (hyperflash) with LEDs due to lower current draw. A simple resistor kit or LED compatible flasher relay typically resolves this.
