Important: this engine is externally balanced
The Ford 428 is externally balanced, so the harmonic balancer and the flywheel or flexplate must match the engine. Parts from a 390 or another FE engine cannot be used without rebalancing. Cobra Jet and Super Cobra Jet balance parts are also different from each other and do not interchange.
