About These Headlights
The 2015 Nissan Altima sedan was offered in S, SV, SL, and SR trims, each available with one of two distinct headlight types. The S and SV trims came with halogen reflector headlights, identifiable by the gold-tinted reflector bowl visible through the clear lens and the absence of LED daytime running lights. The SL and SR trims came with LED projector headlights, identifiable by the LED daytime running ring around a projector lens for low beam. Both styles fit the 2013 to 2015 Altima sedan only, not the coupe (which uses different sheetmetal and headlight shape) and not the 2016 onward refreshed Altima (which has redesigned V-motion grille and headlight units).
Replacement headlights become necessary after impact damage, internal lens fogging from compromised seal, broken mounting tabs, or yellowing of the polycarbonate lens to the point of failed inspection. A clean used OEM unit gives Altima owners the exact factory-shape replacement at a fraction of the dealer parts price.
