Floor carpet is one of those interior pieces that defines how a luxury car feels from the moment you sit down. When the driver footwell heel area is worn through, the passenger side has a deep stain from a spilled drink, or the rear footwell is showing wear from years of use, the cabin loses its premium feel even if every other surface is pristine. On the BMW ActiveHybrid 5, the situation is particularly important because the car drives in pure electric mode at low speed, and in EV mode the cabin is essentially silent. Any cabin noise that the carpet would normally suppress becomes immediately noticeable in the absence of engine sound.
A verified used BMW ActiveHybrid 5 carpet restores OEM color, fit and acoustic performance at a fraction of new dealer pricing. We inspect every carpet for pile condition, backing integrity and trim cut accuracy, photograph any visible stains or wear, and steam clean and deodorize before shipping.

The BMW ActiveHybrid 5 floor carpet is a full molded piece that covers the entire cabin floor in one matched set. The pile material is nylon or polyester, with a high pile density that gives the carpet a premium look and feel and resists matting under foot traffic. The backing is jute or recycled fiber, which provides structural integrity so the carpet retains its molded contour over the transmission tunnel, footwells and seat tracks. Underneath the backing is a layer of sound-deadening foam, bonded to the carpet, that contributes significantly to cabin acoustic quality.
The carpet includes pre-cut openings for the shifter boot, center console mounting, seat tracks (front and rear), and the pedal cluster on the driver side. Where applicable, the carpet also includes cutouts for optional rear seat entertainment or cooler box wiring, depending on the original option package. Hybrid-specific cutouts are minimal because the 1.35 kWh battery pack is located in the trunk floor rather than under the cabin floor.
The BMW ActiveHybrid 5 was BMW's mild hybrid 5-series, produced from 2012 to 2016 in the US market. It was offered alongside the gasoline 528i, 535i and 550i on the F10 platform, with hybrid-specific powertrain components but a largely shared cabin and exterior.
Like its smaller 3-series sibling, the ActiveHybrid 5 was phased out after the 2016 model year. BMW shifted hybrid investment toward plug-in hybrids with usable external-charge EV range (the 530e on the next G30 generation), and toward all-electric vehicles. The mild hybrid ActiveHybrid 5 occupied a market position that became increasingly difficult to justify against plug-in alternatives. As a result, the ActiveHybrid 5 is relatively rare today and many interior parts are no longer stocked new at BMW dealers, increasing the value of verified used parts.
On a conventional gasoline 5-series, engine and exhaust noise mask most road and cabin noises. On the ActiveHybrid 5 in EV mode, the gasoline engine is completely off and the electric drive is essentially silent. Every other sound becomes more audible: tire roar on coarse pavement, the climate blower at higher speeds, wind around the side mirrors, even seat creak from passenger movement. The factory carpet with its sound-deadening foam underlay plays a meaningful role in keeping the cabin quiet during EV operation. A worn or improperly fitted aftermarket carpet can audibly degrade the EV mode experience.
The most common F10 5-series interior color. Goes with most exterior colors. Hides wear and stains better than light colors but shows dust and pet hair more visibly. Standard on most option packages.
A light tan beige that brightens the cabin and works with light wood or aluminum trim. Shows wear more visibly than black, especially at heel areas. Commonly paired with Saddle Brown or Venetian Beige Dakota leather seating.
A near-white off-cream color that gives the most premium luxury appearance. Shows wear and stains most visibly of any color. Commonly paired with Oyster Dakota or Nappa leather seating in luxury option packages.
A very dark gray, almost black but with a subtle warm undertone. Common on M Sport option packages and on Black Sapphire or Carbon Black exteriors. Shows dust less visibly than true black.

My 2014 ActiveHybrid 5 had a heater core leak that ruined the driver and passenger carpet. After fixing the heater core, I needed full replacement carpet and BMW could not supply new. Vaz had a black carpet from a low-mileage F10, color matched perfectly to my interior, trim cuts aligned exactly. Steam cleaning was thorough, no smell at all on arrival. Installed by my local trim shop in a half day. Cabin quiet is back to what I remember from new, especially in EV mode where you really notice eve
Got the carpet for my 2015 ActiveHybrid 5 in oyster. Vaz photographed the carpet against an OEM color sample before they shipped which was helpful since oyster can vary slightly. Color matched my Dakota oyster interior nicely. One star off because there was a small stain in the passenger footwell that I had to spot treat further after install. It was disclosed in the photos so I knew before buying, but it took a bit more cleaning than I expected to bring it close to invisible. Overall a fair val
