The 454 was NEVER factory-installed in the Pontiac GTO. The Pontiac GTO used Pontiac’s own V8 architecture: the Pontiac 400 (most common), the Pontiac 421 (1963 to 1966), the Pontiac 428 (1967 to 1969), and the famous Pontiac 455 (1971 to 1974). A GTO running a Chevy 454 would be a swap, not a factory configuration.
