About the Geo Storm Timing Cover

Geo Storm (1990-1993) was the sporty 2-door coupe/hatchback variant of GM’s Geo economy import brand. Unlike Metro/Prizm economy focus, Storm targeted performance-minded young buyers competing with Honda CRX, Toyota Paseo. Donor: Isuzu Impulse. Production at SIA (Subaru-Isuzu Automotive) Lafayette Indiana joint venture.

DISCONTINUED after 1993 – did NOT continue under Chevy brand (unlike Metro/Prizm/Tracker). Compact sporty coupe segment declined as buyers shifted to SUVs. Engines: 1.6L SOHC (95 HP base), 1.6L DOHC (130 HP GSi performance), some 1.8L variants.
