I bought the Lexus GS430 engine (3UZ-FE) last December to replace the blown motor in my 2004 GS430, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. The engine arrived clean, well-crated, and with all the core long block components intact. Installation was smooth and matched the OEM mounts and harnesses perfectly.
Once installed, the car fired up almost immediately with no error codes or hesitation. The engine runs silky smooth with that unmistakable Lexus V8 hum. Acceleration feels strong again—pulls hard in every gear and idles without a hiccup. Oil consumption is practically non-existent, and after 5,000 miles, it’s performing just like factory spec.
Customer service was also responsive. Highly recommended if you want to breathe new life into your GS430!

I recently purchased the Lexus GS430 engine for my 2003 model, and overall, I’m quite pleased with how everything turned out. The engine itself is mechanically sound — strong compression, smooth idle, and plenty of power right out of the gate. It gave my GS430 a noticeable performance revival, and after a few hundred miles, I can say it runs just like the original factory unit.
The only reason I’m giving this four stars instead of five is due to some very minor prep work during installation. There were a couple of bolts that needed re-threading, and my mechanic noted a slight scuff on the oil pan — nothing that affected function, but worth mentioning. Aside from that, it was a straightforward install, and the engine has been running clean and strong.
In short: if you’re restoring or replacing your GS430 engine, this is a dependable option. Just be ready for minor adjustments, especially if your mechanic expects a drop-in-ready unit. I’d still happily recommend it.
