Description

About the Authentic Jeep Wrangler Fender Flares

Fender flares are one of the most visible exterior components on any Jeep Wrangler. When they fade, crack, or break from off-road use, the entire vehicle looks tired regardless of how clean the rest of the Wrangler is. Additionally, broken or missing flares create legal compliance issues in many US states that require tires to be covered by either body or flare material.

A set of authentic OEM Jeep Wrangler fender flares restores correct factory presentation, provides legal tire coverage, and protects the body fender lip from off-road damage. We inspect every flare set: surface condition, mounting tab integrity, clip engagement points, color uniformity across the set, and flare-to-flare match.

Get your Wrangler back to factory exterior presentation with an authentic OEM flare set today.

Signs Your Wrangler Flares Need Replacement

  • Broken mounting tabs (flare wiggles loose or hangs from one fastener)
  • Missing flares after off-road damage
  • Extensive gravel rash on outer surfaces that cannot be restored
  • Color mismatch between front and rear flares from differential UV exposure
  • Legal compliance issues: tires extending past flare coverage
  • Aftermarket flares previously installed that no longer fit OEM body holes

  • Matte Black Textured Finish: OEM Wrangler off-road appearance

2 reviews for Authentic Jeep Wrangler Fender Flares for Sale | OEM fender flare sets for Jeep Wrangler YJ (1987-1995), TJ (1997-2006)

  1. Brandon Tatum

Replaced the sun-faded factory flares on my 2014 JK Unlimited (Sport trim) with a verified used set from Vaz. They confirmed JK generation and full set of 4 before shipping. Surface condition was much better than my faded originals, mounting tabs all intact, matte black depth consistent across the set. Installation took about an hour. Wrangler looks years younger now. Great alternative to spending $600+ on new Mopar.

  2. Megan Hartford

Picked up a front pair for my 2003 TJ Sport that lost a flare to a branch strike on a trail run. Vaz confirmed TJ generation and front-pair specifically. Donor was a 2004 TJ which they disclosed. Flares match my existing rears well, matte black depth is very close. One star off because one flare has a small surface scuff that they did disclose with photos, but a bit more visible in person than the photo suggested. Otherwise great service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will TJ flares fit my JK Wrangler?

No. Each Wrangler generation has different fender geometry and the flares are not interchangeable. TJ flares (1997-2006) have narrower arches and different mounting hole positions compared to JK flares (2007-2018). JK flares are significantly wider to accommodate the larger factory tires that came with that generation. Always specify your Wrangler generation at the time of order.

Are these authentic OEM Mopar parts or aftermarket reproductions?

These are authentic OEM Mopar parts sourced from donor Wrangler vehicles. We do not sell aftermarket reproduction flares on this listing. If you want aftermarket flares (Bushwacker, Rugged Ridge, Smittybilt, RT Off-Road etc), those are different products available from off-road specialty retailers. Authentic OEM provides factory-correct geometry and matte black texture that matches your existing body trim.

My TJ has Rubicon trim. Will Sport-trim flares fit?

Mostly yes, with caveats. Within a generation, most trim variations use the same basic flare geometry and mounting pattern. The Rubicon trim sometimes has slightly different flare width than base Sport trim, particularly on later JK and JL Rubicons with their wider factory tires. Verify by comparing trim photos against the original Mopar part number. We will help cross-reference your specific trim at order.

How do I install Wrangler fender flares?

Installation overview: (1) Park on level ground. (2) Remove the existing flares by unscrewing the screws from inside the fender lip and releasing the clips with plastic trim tools (some flares have hidden screw locations on the inside of the body). (3) Clean the body fender lip thoroughly. (4) Position the new flare against the body and align with the body holes. (5) Start screws by hand to verify thread engagement (do not cross-thread). (6) Tighten screws in sequence to OEM torque spec (typically light, plastic does not need much torque). (7) Push clips into pre-drilled body holes until they snap. (8) Verify gap consistency between flare and body around the entire arch. Total time 30 to 90 minutes for a full set.

Do you include screws and clips with the flare set?

Hardware varies by listing. Some flare sets come with intact hardware from the donor vehicle, others come bare. Verify at time of order. New Mopar OEM hardware (screw kit and clip kit) is available from Jeep dealers or specialty suppliers for typically $20 to $50 per Wrangler. Reusing old hardware is acceptable if it is in good condition (threads not stripped, clips not broken).

My Wrangler has aftermarket flares already installed. Can I switch back to OEM?

Usually yes, but verify the body holes are still intact. Some aftermarket flare installations (especially pocket-style flares with extended coverage) involve drilling additional body holes or trimming the body fender lip. If the body has been modified, OEM flare installation may not be possible without bodywork repair. If the body is unmodified and the aftermarket flares simply replaced OEM with the original mounting points, then OEM flares will reinstall cleanly.

How do I check whether my factory flares are still legal in my state?

Tire coverage law varies by state. Generally, the entire tread of the tire must be covered by either the body or the flare when viewed straight on (looking at the side of the vehicle). If your tire sticks out beyond the flare, you may be in violation depending on state. California and a few other states have specific tire coverage requirements. Wider tires (35-inch or larger) typically require either wider flares or fender trimming. Check your state’s specific vehicle equipment laws or call us for guidance.

How does shipping work?

Free shipping to all 50 US states. A full flare set weighs 4 to 10 lbs and ships in a larger box (typically 36 x 24 x 18 inches or similar) to protect the flare profiles. UPS or FedEx Ground. Typical transit is 5 to 10 business days from order confirmation given the larger package handling. Each flare is wrapped in foam to prevent surface damage in transit.
