Description
Genesis GV60 ‘Thermostat Housing’ – EV Cooling System Component
CRITICAL: Genesis GV60 is a FULLY ELECTRIC VEHICLE (BEV). No engine, no traditional engine thermostat. EVs have multiple cooling systems: battery thermal management, electric motor cooling, power electronics cooling (inverter, charger, DC-DC), HVAC heat pump. ‘Thermostat housing’ refers to coolant valve/housing in one of these EV cooling circuits.
GV60 specs: Hyundai Motor Group E-GMP platform. 800V architecture (350kW DC fast charging). Dual-motor AWD standard. Performance trim has Boost Mode (~480 HP) and Drift Mode. Launched 2022 global, 2023 US.
Cross-reference sister vehicles on E-GMP: Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6. Many cooling components share across platform. Customer must specify which cooling system component needed.
EV Cooling Systems (Customer Specify)
Battery Thermal Management: Lithium-ion battery heating + cooling
Electric Motor Cooling: Front and rear motors under load
Power Electronics Cooling: Inverter, onboard charger, DC-DC converter
HVAC Heat Pump: Cabin climate, may share with battery thermal

Searching ‘thermostat housing’ for my 2023 Genesis GV60 Performance after battery temperature warnings during fast charging. Vaz immediately educated me that GV60 is fully electric (no traditional thermostat) and has multiple cooling systems. They identified I needed battery thermal management thermostatic valve. Sourced from a 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 donor (E-GMP sister, same component). Took to Genesis dealer for installation with high-voltage safety procedures. Battery temperature stable now. Th

Bought cooling component for my 2023 GV60 Advanced AWD. Vaz emphasized the E-GMP platform sharing with Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 which significantly expanded sourcing options. Sourced from 2022 Kia EV6 donor (E-GMP sister, same architecture). No coolant leaks, mounting verified. One star off because the GV60-specific Performance trim cooling components I had ALSO needed had limited availability (newer vehicle, smaller donor pool, took 19 days for additional sourcing). Overall pleased with the
