Description

Alternator for 2011 Toyota Camry for Sale, Restore Reliable Charging System

Alternator failure on a 2011 Toyota Camry typically shows up first as a battery warning light or charge system warning, followed by gradual battery drain. As alternator output drops below battery voltage, the vehicle runs off stored battery capacity instead of charging from the alternator, leading to repeated battery deaths and eventually a no-start condition.

A verified used 2011 Camry alternator restores reliable charging at a fraction of new dealer pricing. We bench-test every alternator: output voltage under load, amperage verification, bearing spin check, pulley spin verification, brush assessment, and diode pack continuity test.

Get your 2011 Camry back to factory charging performance today.

3 reviews for ALTERNATOR FOR 2011 TOYOTA CAMRY FOR SALE

  1. Roland Esposito

Replaced alternator on my 2011 Camry LE 2.5L after dealing with chronic battery issues. Vaz confirmed 2AR-FE application and 100A rating against my VIN. Bench test paperwork showed 14.3V output, donor was a 2010 same-engine Camry. Bolted right up in about 40 minutes. Charging system steady at 14.3V at idle, no more battery warnings. Excellent value compared to dealer estimate.

  2. Marisol Villegas

Bought an alternator for my 2011 Camry XLE V6 (3.5L). Vaz was careful about V6 vs I4 application which I appreciated. 130A rating confirmed on bench test. V6 install took about 75 minutes due to packaging. One star off because the housing has more cosmetic surface oxidation than photos suggested, but functionally everything works correctly.

  3. Robert (verified owner)

I recently purchased the Alternator for my 2011 Toyota Camry from this site, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. The product arrived well-packaged and on time, which was a great start. Installation was straightforward, and it fit perfectly into my 2.5L engine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will a 2010 Camry alternator fit my 2011?

For the same engine variant, yes typically. The 2010 and 2011 Camry I4 both use the 2.5L 2AR-FE engine introduced in 2010, and share the same alternator part. The 2010 and 2011 Camry V6 both use the 3.5L 2GR-FE engine running across the full XV40 generation (2007-2011), and share the same alternator part. We verify Toyota part number against your VIN.

I have a 2008 Camry I4. Will this 2011 alternator fit?

No. The 2007-2009 Camry I4 used the older 2.4L 2AZ-FE engine which has a different alternator than the 2010+ 2.5L 2AR-FE. The 2010 Toyota engine switch (from 2AZ-FE to 2AR-FE in the I4 application) means the I4 alternator changed between 2009 and 2010 model years. This 2011 listing applies to 2010 and 2011 I4 only. For 2007-2009 Camry I4, call us for separate sourcing.

I have a 2011 Camry Hybrid. Will this work?

No. The 2011 Camry Hybrid uses a different charging system with a DC-to-DC converter from the high-voltage hybrid battery instead of a conventional belt-driven alternator. This listing applies to non-hybrid 2.5L I4 and 3.5L V6 only. For hybrid charging components, call (240) 301-0095.

How do I install the alternator?

Installation overview: (1) Disconnect battery negative terminal. (2) Release accessory belt tension and slip belt off alternator pulley. (3) Disconnect field connector (small connector with several wires). (4) Remove B+ stud nut and lift off the heavy battery cable. (5) Unbolt alternator from mounting bracket. (6) Lift alternator out. (7) Install replacement in reverse order. (8) Torque B+ stud nut to spec. (9) Reconnect field connector. (10) Install belt and verify tension. (11) Reconnect battery. (12) Start engine and verify charging at 14.0-14.7V with multimeter. Total time 30 to 60 minutes for I4, 45 to 90 minutes for V6 due to engine packaging.

My battery keeps dying. Is it definitely the alternator?

Not necessarily. Multiple causes: (1) battery itself end-of-life (typical 3-5 year life), (2) parasitic drain from stuck accessory, (3) loose battery terminals, (4) alternator output low. Diagnostic order: load test battery, measure parasitic drain (should be under 50mA), measure alternator voltage and amperage. Only condemn alternator after other tests.

Can I cross-reference between I4 and V6 alternators?

No. The I4 (100A) and V6 (130A) alternators are physically different parts with different ampere ratings, different mounting positions and different pulley configurations. They are not interchangeable. Verify your engine variant before ordering.

How much does shop installation cost?

Independent shop labor for 2011 Camry alternator replacement typically runs $100 to $200 for I4 or $150 to $300 for V6. Total job cost with our used alternator: $230 to $430 depending on engine and shop rate. Dealer pricing for new OEM and labor typically runs $600 to $1,000+. DIY route saves significant money.

How does shipping work?

Free shipping to all 50 US states. The alternator weighs 9 to 13 lbs and ships in a padded box via UPS or FedEx Ground. Typical transit is 3 to 7 business days. The B+ stud and field connector are protected in transit.

Product Warranty

15 Day Replacement Warranty. Covered: defects discovered at delivery (output failed bench test on first install, bearing noise at receipt, damaged pulley not disclosed prior, broken B+ stud). Not covered: damage from improper installation including reversed polarity at B+ stud, damage from continuing to drive with chronic battery issues that overload the alternator, damage from accessory overload, normal cosmetic age signs consistent with a used part, labor costs of any kind. Note: verify your trim is NOT hybrid before ordering. Contact (240) 301-0095 within 15 days of delivery.
