For the same engine variant, yes typically. The 2010 and 2011 Camry I4 both use the 2.5L 2AR-FE engine introduced in 2010, and share the same alternator part. The 2010 and 2011 Camry V6 both use the 3.5L 2GR-FE engine running across the full XV40 generation (2007-2011), and share the same alternator part. We verify Toyota part number against your VIN.

I have a 2008 Camry I4. Will this 2011 alternator fit?

No. The 2007-2009 Camry I4 used the older 2.4L 2AZ-FE engine which has a different alternator than the 2010+ 2.5L 2AR-FE. The 2010 Toyota engine switch (from 2AZ-FE to 2AR-FE in the I4 application) means the I4 alternator changed between 2009 and 2010 model years. This 2011 listing applies to 2010 and 2011 I4 only. For 2007-2009 Camry I4, call us for separate sourcing.

How do I install the alternator?

Installation overview: (1) Disconnect battery negative terminal. (2) Release accessory belt tension and slip belt off alternator pulley. (3) Disconnect field connector (small connector with several wires). (4) Remove B+ stud nut and lift off the heavy battery cable. (5) Unbolt alternator from mounting bracket. (6) Lift alternator out. (7) Install replacement in reverse order. (8) Torque B+ stud nut to spec. (9) Reconnect field connector. (10) Install belt and verify tension. (11) Reconnect battery.
