The Toyota Land Cruiser is one of the longest running nameplates in automotive history, in continuous production since 1951. The 1998 Land Cruiser is part of the J100 generation, the body on frame full size SUV that powered the Land Cruiser through the early 2000s. The steering column on a J100 Land Cruiser does much more than just connect the steering wheel to the steering box. It houses the ignition lock, the airbag clock spring mounting carrier, multifunction switch mounts for turn signal and wiper and cruise, and the tilt and telescope adjustment mechanism.
Our used OEM Land Cruiser steering column comes from a 1998 J100 donor vehicle. The tilt and telescope mechanism is tested through the full range, and the column shaft is inspected for damage. The Land Cruiser shares many platform parts with the equivalent Lexus LX 470 sister vehicle, though specific part numbers should be verified before ordering for cross compatibility.
